Privacy Policy

NightShift provides AI assistants that reply to customer messages on WhatsApp on behalf of businesses. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and what rights you have. It applies to this website and to the assistant service.
Who we are
NightShift is operated from Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@nightshift.pk or on WhatsApp at 0312 2810552.
Our role: processor, not owner
When you message a business that uses NightShift, that business is the controller of your data — it decides why your information is collected and what happens to it. NightShift acts as its service provider (processor), handling messages only on that business's instructions. If you want your data deleted, you may contact either us or the business you messaged; we will act on the business's direction.
What we collect
- Your WhatsApp number and profile name, as provided by WhatsApp when you message a business.
- The content of your messages to that business, and the assistant's replies.
- Booking details you provide — for example your name, the service you asked about, and your preferred date and time.
- Technical records — timestamps, message delivery status, and error logs needed to run the service reliably.
We do not ask for and do not want payment card details, CNIC numbers, passwords, or medical records. Please do not send them.
Why we use it
- To answer your questions and book your appointment.
- To send you a booking confirmation and a reminder before your appointment.
- To alert the business when you make a booking.
- To give the business a record of its own conversations and a monthly summary of enquiry and booking counts.
- To keep the service running — monitoring, debugging, and preventing abuse.
We do not sell your data, rent it, or use it for advertising. We do not use your messages to train AI models, and our AI provider is contractually bound not to train on them either.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers needed to deliver the service:
- The business you messaged — it sees its own conversations and bookings.
- Meta Platforms — WhatsApp carries the messages; Meta's own terms and privacy policy apply to that transport.
- Anthropic — the AI provider that generates the assistant's replies. Message content is sent to its API to produce a response and is not used for model training.
- Our hosting and database provider — which stores the data on our behalf under contract.
We may also disclose data where required by law. Some of these providers process data outside Pakistan; we use them under their standard data protection terms.
How long we keep it
Conversation history is retained for as long as the business remains a customer, so it has a record of its own enquiries, and is deleted within 60 days of that business leaving the service. Booking records are kept by the business according to its own policy. Technical logs are kept for up to 90 days. We will delete data sooner on a valid request from the business or from you.
How we protect it
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled servers. Each business's data is isolated from every other business's. Access is limited to the people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these obligations seriously and will notify affected businesses promptly if a breach occurs.
Your rights
You may ask to see the data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. You can also stop the assistant contacting you at any time by replying STOP in the WhatsApp conversation, or by asking to speak to a human — the assistant will hand you over to the business's staff. To make a request, email hello@nightshift.pk. We respond within 30 days.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
This website
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and does not run analytics that profile you. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of serving those files.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
